The Friends of the Library are seeking donations of used books for their fall book sale at the Durand Memorial Branch of the Shiawassee District Library. The sale will be held Oct. 6, 7, and 8. Donations may be dropped through Oct. 5.

Books in gently used condition are needed for the sale, especially fiction for adults in hardcover and paperbacks. Encyclopedias, magazines, and textbooks will not be accepted for the sale.

Books may be dropped off during regular library hours Monday through Thursday 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. A tax receipt will be given for donations. For more information call the library at (989) 288-3743.
