The certificate is signed by Senator Kahn, Senator Joe Hune, State Representative Ben Glardon and Governor Rick Snyder. ‘Let it be known, that it is with great respect for his accomplishments that we honor William (Bill) Constine for his 46 years of effort and time working in the communications business. His commitment to his craft is remarkable and deserving of recognition,’ it is stated at the top.

Bill grew up on a family dairy farm in Owosso Township before starting his career in 1968 with WOAP Owosso where he eventually became the station’s News Director. In 1988, he went to work at the Flint Journal as a contributing staff writer before he joined the Independent in 1989.
