In this world of constant contention and animosity, there still exist among us thoughtful folks with generosity and love for their fellow man. Overhearing my comment to our waitress at Greg and Lou’s restaurant a few days ago, that Joanne and I were celebrating our 65th anniversary, was a lovely young lady at a nearby table. On leaving, she extended her congratulations. The waitress informed us that a total stranger had paid for our meals including a fancy dessert.
Her thoughtful gesture meant much more to us than the actual cost of the meal itself.
