The latest episode of the One on One with Mike D podcast began on a terrifying note.
Rapper 2 Low accidentally fired his gun while appearing on the season two premiere episode of Mike D’s podcast.
The two started talking about 2 Low’s early career and future plans, before moving on to how the Funky Lil Brotha artist, 46, signed his first contract at age 12 and ended up in jail for the first time at the age of 15.
While the two were discussing the significance of one’s choices, 2 Low was seen rooting around in the pocket of his distressed jeans.
A loud bang abruptly ended the conversation.
2 Low looked stunned as he tried to figure out what had happened and whether he had been injured, while Mike D asked calmly, ‘Who shot who? Someone got shot?
A voice off-camera says, ‘You good, Low?’
‘I hope,’ the rapper replied, ‘y’all good?
Mike D stood up and looked around the room for the bullet, which was not discovered while the camera was recording because the person off-camera repeatedly said the f-word.
The veteran host and former Screwed Up Click member decided it was time to wrap up the episode.
“Damn, only on the Dirty Third One on One with Mike D, I thought my (bleep) shot me!”
‘Everybody okay?’ The off-camera voice asked again, ‘You good, Low?’
‘I hope,’ he said again.
‘This has never happened in a One on One with me at the Mike D, man. Where are you, Low?” he asked his guest.
‘Well, man, right now, we’re grateful that everyone is safe, good, and cool.’
Mike D attempted to see the bright side of the terrifying situation, stating that every time he and 2 Low get together, ‘we make history, so I guess we just made history, y’all.’
The host described the incident in the video that he posted on YouTube. ‘X Rap a Lot’ artist 2 Low almost (gun emoji) himself on video. Thank God, everyone was fine.
2 Low maintained the goodwill, writing on his Instagram page, ‘You said you were starting season 2 off with the big guns. The main thing is that we all keep negativity at bay and get people talking, so run it up, fam.
Mike D highlighted the gun moment on YouTube, captioning the video, ‘OG 2 LOW Kicking season 2 off with a bang!!!!’
