HORTICULTURALIST Joseph Kudwa and his son, 5-year-old Colton, were among the vendors that participated in the Durand Farmer’s Market on Wednesday, May 27. Kudwa is the president of Agroscaping, which specializes in landscaping, irrigation, water features, pavers, patios, retaining walls, sod and hydroseed, and is located east of town at 6443 Grand Blanc Road. Ongoing road work on that stretch of Grand Blanc Road and the governor’s stay at home order have combined to make for a difficult start to the 2020 season for Kudwa, so area residents are encouraged to keep this local merchant in mind for any outdoor beautification needs.

The market, located on Hagle Street in downtown Durand, just off E. Main Street, is now open from 2 to 7 p.m. every Wednesday. Customers can check out the market on foot, but a drive-up service is also being offered in an effort to maintain proper social distancing. Visit the “Durand Farmer’s Market” social media page for more photos and a list of products available.
