THE DOWNTOWN OWOSSO Farmers Market kicked-off the 2016 season on Exchange St. on Saturday, May 7. Despite the occasional rain shower, the market was well attended, and several new vendors were on-site along with some familiar faces.
Terry Mowen (left) is still somewhat new to the market, having started selling his hand-turned, wooden pens, letter openers, and razors just last year. Terry utilizes a wide variety of different types of wood in the creation of his items so every piece is unique. This year, he is experimenting with creating corncob casings for his pens. “I am really looking forward to this season,” Terry explained. “I have met a lot of great people down here.”
