All seven branches of the Community District Library will be giving away free books to adults who dare to take part in their “Blind Date With a Book” program from Monday, Feb. 5 through Monday, Feb. 19. Book lovers will have the opportunity to win a $25 Applebee’s gift card. Participants will choose a wrapped book to take home and read, and then return a “Rate Your Date” slip and share how they liked their book date. Rating slips must be turned in by Friday, Feb. 23 to enter in the drawing.

The program is limited to adult CDL card holders. The Community District Library has branches in Bancroft, Byron (inside the high school library), Corunna, Lennon, Morrice, New Lothrop (inside the elementary school library) and Perry. For more information visit www.mycdl.org.

CDL Corunna branch manager Sue Huff and administrative assistant Linda Hudecek can be seen displaying a sampling of the “Blind Date Books” that will be available during the district’s adult reading program.
