As we enter the peak of cold and flu season, a cold and flu medicine sold in some Michigan stores has been recalled.
I had not heard anything about this recall until now, when I received an email from Costco. According to the email, I bought the medicine between October 30 and November 30, 2024.
The recall concerns Kirkland Signature Severe Cold & Flu Plus Congestion.
The email I received stated that the medicine is being voluntarily recalled “out of an abundance of caution” because it was distributed to stores despite the fact that a specific lot code had been rejected due to the possibility of foreign material contamination.
The lot code in question is P140082, which can be found next to the expiration date on the box.
If you have this medicine in your cabinet and discover that it has that lot code, Costco recommends that you do not use any of the remaining pills and instead return it to Costco for a refund.
