Chesaning Comfort Care, an assisted living and memory care community is proud to announce a $3.5 million development in the village of Chesaning. The ground-breaking ceremony was Tuesday, Nov. 29. Construction was set to begin on Wednesday, Nov. 30 and the project is slated to be completed in the summer of 2017. This is the fifth project for Comfort Care, which will make it the largest senior living center in Saginaw County with the largest number of beds.

Upon completion, Chesaning Comfort Care will be an approximate 32,000 square-foot building, which will consist of a specialized memory care area (MemoryVille) and dedicated assisted living section (SunnyVille). Chesaning Comfort Care will have 40 rooms in total to serve the local community and the surrounding areas. Facility plans include a very classy exterior elevation, well-designed landscaping plan, an interior courtyard, spa area, salon, clubroom, bistro-style dining, activity room, and premium interior work. The Architect and Engineer on the project are Seidell and Apex, respectively. The construction will be completed by Global Development & Construction of Bay City. Chesaning Comfort Care has partnered with Chemical Bank of Saginaw to obtain financing of the loan.

This project is a development by Comfort Care Senior Living, which consists of local entrepreneurs that are currently serving the medical community in Chesaning surrounding areas. Hamza Sikander, Managing Director and co-owner of Chesaning Comfort Care feels, “We have found the ideal location for our assisted living location because the local community and the surrounding areas needed a state of the art facility that can provide value, quality care, and convenience to its residents. We truly feel this is “The New Standard” of what a state of the art assisted living should be like. In this project we blended science, art, research to execute one of the most ambitious senior care projects in Michigan. Chesaning Comfort Care will be geared toward senior citizens, but is not a traditional skilled nursing facility. Assisted living facilities allow its residents to lead more active, independent lives than they can find in traditional nursing homes. The mission of Chesaning Comfort Care is to provide senior housing that addresses emotional, intellectual, physical, and social needs of its residents.”

Sikander said that Chesaning Comfort Care is accepting reservations immediately for beds and also accepting applications for employment. For more information, interested persons may call
