The Social Security Administration will continue to make payments to US citizens with disabilities in January 2025. This month, this group of retirees will receive one more payment, but it is certain that an additional payment will be made before the end of the month, even if it is for SSI rather than retirement purposes.
This allows us to predict when the last disability payment for the month will be made and who will be eligible for them. In addition, the maximum checks for 2025 have already been determined, so we can mark the maximum amount to receive.
Pay attention to the payment schedule to see if checks are available for specific groups. The new payment will go to retiree group 4. If we are not in group 4, the Disability payment will be issued in February, so we will have to wait a little longer.
New Disability Payments in January
On January 22nd, thousands of eligible US citizens will receive the new disability payment. Just meeting two requirements will suffice, so we should investigate these conditions. So there are only two conditions because the payment is available to all retirees, not just those with disabilities.
Thus, Disability retirees and the rest of retirees will have to take into account that:
- It is mandatory to have a benefit after May 1997.
- It is mandatory to have a birthday between the 21st and 31st of any month.
Fulfilling both requirements will be sufficient to receive the payment on January 22nd. If you have Direct Deposit enabled, the payment will appear the same day it is sent.
Americans who have not activated this collection method will be able to receive the benefits six days later.
The maximum January 2025 Disability payment is $4,018 per month. However, each American receives a different check based on their situation.
