The annual ArtWalk in downtown Owosso is seeking talent, said organizers. The Owosso Mainstreet/DDA and Shiawassee County Convention & Visitors Bureau are coordinating the ArtWalk Owosso, sponsored by LAFCU credit union. It will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11.

Open to visual and performing artists, ArtWalk Owosso was created to be a celebration of art, music, food, photography, sculpture, literature, craft and community. The ArtWalk is the second Friday of September showcasing local and regional artists and downtown businesses and attractions.

“Several artists have sent in their applications but there are more spaces available,” said Kim Springsdorf. “If you are an interested artist there is still time to reserve your spot. Artists will be located throughout the downtown Owosso area (inside businesses and attractions). Artists retain 100 percent of their income on sales and there is no registration fee.

“To reserve you spot for this popular community event you may request an application by calling Shiawassee County Convention & Visitors Bureau at (989) 723-1199. Applications are also available at the Shiawassee Regional Chamber of Commerce, 215 N. Water, downtown Owosso and Owosso City Hall, 301 W. Main (M-21).”
