OLIVIA KREJCI was crowned Byron’s 2019 Homecoming Queen on Friday, Sept. 27, only minutes before the varsity football team’s game against Lakeville was called due to lightning. The court braved the weather, however, with rain falling steadily throughout the entire halftime ceremony.
Krejci was crowned by 2018 Homecoming Queen Maylee Hatt. Joining them on stage on Sept. 27 were court members Brooklyn Durand, Mallory Lawrence, Hunter Luke, Jaden Zakoor and Haley Hooley, along with Princess Ella Williams and Prince Easton Dolehanty.
The game was called following halftime, with Byron leading Lakeville 42 to 0. Byron’s Homecoming King, Elisha Huggins, was crowned on Wednesday, Sept. 25 during the Powder Puff game.
