The Byron Village Council has experienced a death in their extended family recently and will move their June 8 meeting to Monday, June 15, to accommodate the members’ handling of the arrangements and the travel needed to attend the service.
The council will most likely continue their ongoing discussion regarding their deficit elimination plan and there is a good chance that they will discuss the compensation package for their Department of Public Works Director Mike Granger. His contract expired at the end of the 2014-2015 fiscal year on Feb. 28 and the council has been deliberating the issue since then. They have discussed restructuring his insurance benefits, but have not been able to come to an agreement so far.
