THIS YEAR’S BYRON FAMILY FUN DAY was a tremendous success, with people coming from all over the Byron area on Saturday, July 9 to participate in the annual event that is put on by the village’s businesses and organizations. The list of activities included the well-attended parade, a pig roast at the Byron Masonic Lodge, a craft show and flea market with food vendors at Byron High School, and many other events. Shown is the parade making its way west on Maple St. The parade ended at Byron High School, where the rest of the day’s events took place. The Byron Fireworks Friends again capped the festivities with a spectacular firework display at dusk. (Independent Photo/Graham Sturgeon)
