Bethel Evangelical Free Church will be providing a free showing of the movie “War Room” next Friday, Jan. 22, at 7 p.m. The film is free for everyone in the community, and free refreshments will be provided as well. This movie, focused on the power of personal prayer to overcome obstacles and change lives, is put out by the same church that produced “Facing the Giants,” “Fireproof” and most recently “Courageous.” But the topic of prayer is not handled in an academic lecture approach, but rather shown through personal illustration: Tony and Elizabeth Jordan seemingly have it all – great jobs, a beautiful daughter, and their dream house. But their world is actually crumbling under the strain of a failing marriage. Their lives take an unexpected turn when Elizabeth’s newest client, Miss Clara, challenges Elizabeth to establish a prayer “war room” and as Elizabeth begins to fight for her family, Tony must decide if he will make amends. Join us for the movie to be inspired to pray. Bethel is located at 1564 N. Hickory Road, Owosso.
