The Flint’s legendary Arrowhead Barbershop Chorus and the renowned Lansing Capital City Chordsmen will perform a joint Barbershop Sing-Off (Real American Music) concert on Saturday, Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. at the Joseph H. Lebowsky Center, 122 E. Main St., in Owosso. Money raised from this event will provide funding to allow both choruses and the Owosso Community Players to support their many community activities.
The Flint Arrowhead Barbershop Chorus has entertained audiences for almost a century with patriotic American standards and familiar tunes from days gone by. The award winning Capital City Chordsmen entertain throughout the mid-west with dynamic musical theatre shows for the entire family to enjoy. Several “Barbershop Quartets” from Flint and Lansing will perform.
The evening of music and comedy includes a competition between the both choruses to compete for “Who Is the Best?” in an “American Idol” type format facilitated by three celebrity judges including: Monica Harris – WFMK Lansing, Jerry Lostracco – Retired Shiawassee County Circuit Court Judge and Kevin Keane – Mayor of Flushing.
Show tickets are $20 for adults, $18 for seniors (62 years of age and older) and students, $10 for children ages 10 and younger and may be purchased from a chorus member or at the Owosso Community Players box office at 114 E.
