On Friday, July 24, during the 128th Trooper Recruit School Graduation at the Lansing Center, three area recruits successfully completed the school and will be assigned to a post in Michigan. The Trooper Recruit School began Monday, March 2,
and ran for 21 weeks. In order to be selected to attend the 128th Trooper Recruit School, recruits had to pass a stringent selection process that included a physical fitness test, background investigation and hiring interview.
Brittany Johnson of Perry will be assigned to the Hart Post, Christopher Rowell of Owosso will be assigned to the Lapeer Post and Mitchell Stevens of Owosso will be assigned to the Alpena Post.
