There is something for everyone during the Shiawassee Arts Center’s annual Holiday at the Center. The public is invited to celebrate the season with beautiful decorations, live music, food, drinks, and unique art and affordable gift items from 90 talented artists. A wide variety of unique, original works of art from artists throughout Michigan and one from even as far away as Oregon will be on display and for sale. From metal work, sculptures, blown glass, jewelry, pottery, encaustic, watercolor, photography, oil, acrylic and more this show will have something for everyone on your shopping list. Visitors will be able to enjoy additional shopping through our special extended holiday hours from noon to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday.

The Holiday Show opens to the public Sunday, Nov. 13, from 2 to 4 p.m. with a special reception featuring refreshments, live music and a book signing by local author, Julie Wenzlick. A silent auction with works by Frederick Frieseke, Gordon Graham, Peggy Reimel Abrams and many more artists will run through Dec. 18. Children’s art classes including the popular Gingerbread Houses are planned every Saturday in addition to a special free children’s event on Sunday, Dec. 4, from 2 to 4 p.m. with refreshments, music, art activities, book signings and a visit by Santa.

The show continues through Dec. 31. The show is sponsored by Memorial Healthcare and Schluckebier/Hood Wealth Managment Group of Wells Fargo Advisors. Outdoor decorating is compliments of Sunburst Gardens.
