After driving through a traffic stop, Texas man was arrested in Mississippi

A Texas man was arrested in Jones County after nearly hitting a Jones County investigator with his vehicle.

According to the Jones County Sheriff’s Department, narcotics agents and an investigator were conducting a Selective Traffic Enforcement Program, or STEP, detail on Moselle-Seminary Road on Wednesday afternoon.

According to officials, Toby Lindsey, 49, allegedly drove through the checkpoint, narrowly missing a Jones County investigator with his vehicle.

Lindsey is from Killeen, Texas. He was arrested and charged with DUI/refusal to take a test, possession of a controlled substance, careless driving, and driving without a license. He is currently being held at the Jones County Adult Detention Facility awaiting a bond hearing.
