A 58-year-old was found dead on southbound I-75 in Clio

CLIO, Michigan – Police are investigating the death of a 58-year-old Vienna Township resident whose body was discovered on I-75 in Clio on Wednesday evening.

According to the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office, passersby reported seeing the body on the southbound lanes of I-75 on the south side of the M-57 overpass around 8:25 p.m.

Investigators did not identify the body as they worked to notify relatives on Thursday morning. The cause of death was not known, but authorities do not suspect foul play.

Police and the Clio Area Fire Department closed all four southbound lanes of I-75 and the M-57 overpass for several hours to gather evidence and investigate the scene. All lanes were reopened by Thursday morning.
