United States Social Security Disability Retirement checks will soon reach United States people who are awaiting payment, albeit certain standards must be met in order to get them. Unlike retirees who received benefits prior to May 1997, beneficiaries after that date must complete an additional criteria in order to get payment within the next 24 hours.
The Social Security Administration categorises recipients, whether for disability or another sort of compensation, into four distinct classes. The first group is made up of beneficiaries who were born before May 1997, whereas pensioners born after that date can get payments on the second, third, and fourth Wednesdays of the month.
However, each of these designated Wednesdays has an additional criteria to consider. Thus, pensioners who applied for their benefit after May 1997 can only receive this next payment if their birthday falls between certain dates. The most startling aspect is that this Social Security benefit might increase.
Disability payments in the next 24 hours
Regardless of the amount we receive and whether the Fairness Act has had an effect on our monthly benefit, the Social Security Disability payment will arrive in 24 hours to a specific group of retirees. Meeting two requirements is enough to receive the monthly benefit in the checking account.
The two requirements to get the new check are:
- Have been receiving benefits since after May 1997.
- Your birthday must fall between the 11th and 20th of any given month.
Regarding the day of birth, it is important to note that neither the year of birth nor the month matter when it comes to determining whether we receive the check earlier or later. Only the specific day of birth determines whether we are in group 2, 3 or 4.
Also, remember that having Direct Deposit activated means we receive the payment on the same day it is sent, which in this specific case is March 19, 2025. If we meet all these conditions, we will receive the check without any problems, whatever the amount.
What is the increase in the Disability Benefit in March 2025?
Because of the COLA, benefits grow annually, so the payout for March 2025 is larger than that for March 2024. The Fairness Act may cause the payout of these benefits to climb even further in some situations.
But what is known is that the retirement check, whether for disability or not, will be the same as in previous months of 2025, thus we can assume that we are looking at a check that might total $4,018 in the case of SSDI and $5,180 in the case of retirement due to age.
