Bancroft Burns Grange at 6630 Cole Road in Bancroft will host a Jamboree and Dinner on Friday, Feb. 19. Dinner will be served from 4:30 to 6 p.m. with “breakfast” being the menu, including: bacon, sausage, pancakes, scrambled eggs, toast, applesauce, juice, and coffee.

Cost of the event is $6 per person. Jamboree follows from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Donations at the door will be accepted and a 50/50 drawing will be held. Refreshments available.

Proceeds from the evening goes toward purchasing dictionaries for 3rd graders in Shiawassee County. If Durand Schools are cancelled on Feb. 19, due to inclement weather, there will be no Jamboree or dinner.

A chicken dinner will also be held on Sunday, March 6 from 11:30 to 2 p.m. Cost is $8 for adults, $3 for children (5 to 12 years of age), children four and under are free. The all-you-can-eat menu includes: baked chicken, mashed potatoes, biscuits and gravy, corn, rolls, coleslaw, pickles, dessert and beverages. Take-outs are available with a bake sale in the upper hall. Dinner certificates are available for purchase.
