REMBERING – The traditional placement of a large wreath at the headstone for author-conservationist James Oliver Curwood at Oak Hill Cemetery in Owosso was at 5 p.m. Thursday, an hour before the Festival’s Opening Ceremonies on the lawn of Curwood Castle in downtown Owosso, by Curwood Festival Royalty who were surrounded by Festival officers, board members and others.

This year’s Royalty at the center were (from left): Princess Court member Lily Usher, 10, of Central School; Princess Marisa Rose, 9, of Bryant School; Queen Lauren Graham and Queen’s Court member Deanna Williams.
