AND THE WINNER IS… SafeCenter. Monday night, Jan. 29, was a snowy night in Shiawassee County, but the 100+ Women Who Care of the Greater Owosso Area had a chance to hear from three wonderful groups, Family Life Center, Shiawassee Humane Society and SafeCenter. Ruthann Liagre gave the winning presentation for SafeCenter.
There were 91 members in attendance for the Jan. 29 meeting, though the group’s 216 total members will donate $21,600 to SafeCenter. Nine members submitted nomination forms, with a total of eight charities nominated. The group will be formally presenting a check to SafeCenter in the near future. 100+ Women Who Care of the Greater Owosso Area was formed and is led by Cindy Schluckebier, Sue Ludington, Lisa Hood and Becky Hartnagle.
