DURAND City Manager Colleen O’Toole (right) and 24th District State Senate candidate Kelly Rossman-McKinney can be seen serving Durand Fire Chief Dick Rinker a hotdog during a recent Wednesday Night Live concert in Durand. More than 400 spectators of all ages were on hand for the concert that featured Paving Allison.
The city donated the hotdogs for the evening’s concert, which is part of the Durand DDA’s summer concert series. The Paving Allison show was sponsored by Bart Harris State Farm; Jim’s Pizza; Déjà Vu Services; Dr. R. Tirtha, DDS; and Welcome Home Veterans.
The remaining Wednesday Night Live concerts include Magic 5 on Aug. 1, Ross Mead on Aug. 8 and Veterans of Rock on Aug. 15. The shows all take place just east of the Sandula Clock Tower in downtown Durand, near the intersection of Hagle and E. Main Streets. Music starts at 7 p.m., following the Durand Farmers Market, which runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Wednesday.
