THE VILLAGE OF Lennon Volunteers presented village of Lennon President Barbara BakerOmerod with a check for $15,500 during the Lennon Village Council meeting on Monday, July 16. Some of the remaining funds will be put towards construction of the village’s veterans memorial, $1,500 will be used to maintain the village’s flowers this summer and the rest will be used by the village to purchase the abandoned window factory on the corner of Oak Street and Lennon Road. The village will then turn the property over to the Michigan Land Bank for demolition.
