The Vernon District Public Library will be hosting a Gingerbread Creation Decorating contest from Monday, Nov. 28 to Friday, Dec. 2. Some of the rules for the contest include that the creation must be made and decorated at home, must be constructed and decorated out of food, and store bought gingerbread kits are allowed. Creations need to be fastened securely and turned in between Monday, Nov. 28 and Friday,

Dec. 2 before 5 p.m. A creation entry form, available at the library, and a signed photo release must be filled out and presented when dropping off the creation and a photo will be taken with you and your entry.

Voting will take place on Saturday, Dec. 3 by community members and a first, second, and third place winner will be selected. The contest may be split up into age groups depending on participants and winner will be notified by Monday, Dec. 5. Entries can then be picked up from Monday, Dec. 5 to Friday, Dec. 23. After Christmas, the entries will be disposed of.
