A summer kids’ event called Cave Quest VBS will be hosted by Byron United Methodist Church and held at Myers Lake Campground from Monday, June 27 to Friday, July 1. VBS will be held each day from 9 a.m. to noon. At Cave Quest, kids explore what it means to follow Jesus through dark times. Kids participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, make and dig into yummy treats, experience one-of-a-kind Bible adventures, and create fun, take-home crafts. Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called, ‘God Sightings.’ Each day concludes with a Cave Quest Closing that gets everyone involved in living what they have learned.
Kids at Cave Quest VBS will join a missions effort to provide food for local families through the Loaves and Fishes Organization.
Cave Quest is for kids, ages 3 through those who have just finished fifth grade. For more information, interested persons may call (810) 266-4976. Preregistration forms can be found at Myers Lake Campground, Byron United Methodist Church, or can be printed from www.byronumc.com and dropped off at either location.
