The Friends of the Library are seeking donations of used books for their fall book sale at the Durand Memorial Branch of the Shiawassee District Library. The sale will be Sept. 24, 25 and 26. Donations may be dropped off through Sept. 23.
Books for all ages in gently-used condition are needed for the sale including fiction and non-fiction, paperbacks and hardcovers. However, encyclopedias, magazines, textbooks and VHS movies will not be accepted.
Books may be dropped off during regular library hours Monday through Thursday 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. A tax receipt will be given for donations. For more information, persons may call the library, (989) 288-3743.
