THE GENERAL LEE, from the classic Dukes of Hazzard television series, surprised Pastor Steve and arrived at Shiawassee Harvest Church on Tuesday morning, Oct. 30 to tour the county in advance of the church’s much anticipated Hazzard County Christmas concerts. “A Hazzard County Christmas Concert” will be held at Shiawassee Harvest Church on Thanksgiving weekend. The General Lee visited Nellie Reed Elementary in Vernon on Oct. 30, where the lower elementary classes posed with the car, and some Corunna middle and high school students did the same after school at the bus stop. The General Lee also visited the Respite Volunteers of Shiawassee, Memorial Healthcare, Curwood Castle (shown) and Great Lakes Fusion, where Pastor Steve showed off all of the cast autographs that are signed under the iconic car’s hood.

The two Hazzard County Christmas concerts will be at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24 and Sunday, Nov. 25, with VIP meet-and-greets beginning at 3 p.m. prior to each performance. The once-in-a-lifetime event initially featured Luke Duke (Tom Wopat) and Deputy Enos Strate (Sonny Shroyer), but Pastor Steve recently announced that Koy Duke (Byron Cherry) will join the party on Thanksgiving weekend.

Tickets for the concerts are on sale now and can be purchased online at hazzardchristmas.eventbrite.com. VIP tickets cost $25 per person and general admission tickets cost $10 per person.
