The Arc Shiawassee announced in its February newsletter that the nonprofit organization has changed its name to The Arc Mid-Michigan, with the following explanation:

“As you might have noticed, our name has changed. We did this because now we are serving more than just Shiawassee County. In addition to Shiawassee County, we will be serving Ingham, Clinton and Eaton counties.

“Another thing that may be different than last year is the location of The Arc. We have moved from our facility on M-21 and are now in the lower level of The Armory in Owosso. We have a nice office space, and the best part is, we have a large community room right next to us! This room makes it perfect to have activities, connections and other events right here next to us. With our move, our mailing address has changed. Now when you mail anything to us, please send it to: The Arc of Mid-Michigan, P.O. Box 63, Owosso, MI 48867.”

The Arc Mid-Michigan hosts bingo three times per week, with games being played at the Shiawassee Conservation Club, at 4247 N. M-52 in Owosso. Bingo is played at 4 p.m. on Sundays, at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesdays and at 6 p.m. on Fridays. Organizers invite the public to attend and “bring your friends!”

The Arc Mid-Michigan office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Anyone with questions or concerns is encouraged to call the office at (989) 723-7377, or visit www.arcmidmichigan.org.
