THE 2019-2020 DURAND City Council was sworn in on Monday, Nov. 19, with (from left) Deputy Clerk Mindy McKay administering the oath of office to Ken McDonough, Connie Cobley, John Matejewski, Deb Doyle, Rich Folaron, Dr. Brian Boggs and Jeff Brands (not shown). Doyle was reelected by her fellow council members as mayor, while Dr. Boggs (standing) was reelected as mayor pro tem.
“It is a great honor to be reelected mayor pro tem by my council colleagues for another term,” shared Dr. Boggs following the Nov. 19 meeting. “Mayor Doyle and I make a strong team and plan to continue the city’s momentum and progress over the next two years. It has always been my goal over my 15 years on the city council to push for an aggressive street and infrastructure reconstruction plan, to continue to refinance city debt to lessen the burden on taxpayers and to promote economic development for more local jobs.”
The Durand City Council will next meet on Monday, Dec. 10 to hear the city’s annual audit report.
