Summer reading is being offered at the Owosso Branch of the Shiawassee District Library. There is a summer reading program for children up through fifth grade, a middle school reading program and also one for high school students.

Storytimes will be offered June 16 through July 23. All storytimes start at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday mornings. Storytime will be held inside the Children’s library, Wednesday mornings on the Curwood Castle lawn and Thursday mornings at Bentley Park, next to the gazebo. If attending storytime outside, families may want to take along a blanket or chair to sit in. In the case of bad weather, storytime will be held in the Children’s department.

There will also be a craft corner for children during the summer, now through Wednesday, July 29 children can attend 2 to 4 p.m. each Wednesday and make a different craft each week. All materials will be provided.

The library will also have visits from the Howell Nature Center, Astute Artistry and Drummunity. More information about these programs will be available as the dates come closer. For more information, persons may call the library, (989)-725-5134.
