BRADLEY CRONK (left), was honored during the Thursday, Dec. 1, Perry City Council meeting as Student Mayor of the City of Perry, an honorary role he will serve until January 5, 2017. As Student Mayor, Cronk will assist Mayor James Huguelet with various mayoral duties. He will also have a priority privilege to speak. Ceremonial duties may consist of calling for public comment, leading the pledge of allegiance, acting as the presiding officer of a city council meeting and introduction of topics and guests at meetings.

A Perry High School senior, Cronk has achieved several accomplishments including being a member of the National Honor Society and National Youth Leadership Forum Alumni. He has also been honored as president of the Class of 2017, Shiawassee Scholar, Student of the Month, and Scholar Athlete as well as having perfect attendance and being an academic letter recipient.

Cronk volunteers as senior co-chair for the PHS Red Cross blood drive; served as assistant coach for youth sports; and announces for youth football games.

Cronk plans to attend college to study pre-medicine with the ultimate career goal of becoming a doctor and using his education to help people.
