A RIBBON CUTTING and grand opening celebration was held on Monday, March 26 at Stomping Grounds Coffee Shop in Durand. The event was attended by local city officials and several of the Greater Durand Area Chamber of Commerce members and staff.
Nikole and Ernie Hartzell acquired ownership of the business in January 2018. Nikole has stated that it has always been her dream to open a coffee shop and bakery. Stomping Grounds has a selection of doughnuts, bagels and muffins, as well as a breakfast burrito that is served all day. Customers can enjoy a wide variety of specialty hot, cold and frozen drinks. A new sandwich line was recently introduced. Delivery is available.
Stomping Grounds is located at 200 N. Saginaw St. in downtown Durand. The converted bank building has indoor seating, including inside the former bank vault. Stomping Grounds is open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week.
