HEART TO HEART HOSPICE employees from the company’s Lansing and Flint offices spent the day on Tuesday, Dec. 11 spreading holiday cheer to their patients throughout mid-Michigan, with the help of Santa Claus and two of his elves. Santa visited residents at the Durand Senior Care & Rehab Center and The Lodges of Durand on the morning of Dec. 11, and the group made special stops at We Care Management in Owosso and the Union Court Assisted Living facilities in Chesaning and St. Charles that afternoon.

Santa and his elves, “Shimmer” and “Tinsel,” surprised Elmer, a resident at The Lodges of Durand, in his apartment on Tuesday and later joined their new friend for his morning coffee. Standing behind Elmer and Santa are (from left) Shimmer, Tinsel and Stacy Sturgeon, a patient care manager at Heart to Heart Hospice.

“Our patients bring us so much joy, so it means a lot to us to be able to give back to the patients and communities we serve. This is always my favorite day of the year,” shared Sturgeon.
