The PerryFest Committee is now accepting items for the 2017 Silent Auction. Every year committee members hear, “What can I do to help PerryFest?” Well, here is your opportunity. Donate a basket of goodies for the Silent Auction. It doesn’t need to be big or elaborate, just pick a theme (i.e. sports, kid’s games, school supplies, etc.) and purchase a few themed items from the store. Arrange your items in a basket or suitable container and wrap in clear cellophane. If you don’t have the time to put the items in a basket, simply take the items to Perry City Hall. Committee members will take care of it for you.
Other acceptable donations may include gently used items (no clothing) leftover from a yard/estate sale, a gas card or gift certificate for your favorite store, or re-gift a gift that you just don’t know what to do with. The possibilities are endless.
If you are cleaning out the closet, basement or garage, don’t take unwanted items to the thrift shops. Instead, think about donating them to PerryFest to help support and continue the annual event and fireworks display. This is also a great way to promote your business or organization. Be sure to include a business card with your donation.
Donations may be dropped off between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, at Perry City Hall, 203 W. Polly St., or call (517) 625-6155, ext. 235.
