THE NEWLY REMODELED façade of Signature Ford Lincoln.

After 11 months of construction, Signature Ford Lincoln of Owosso finally has the renovations and expansion project completed. The expansion added 5,000 square feet to the building.

Included in the upgrades are a new service department, new showroom, new customer lounge, new facade, new service drive for Quick Lane customers, a new indoor heated and air conditioned delivery area for cars, along with having the parking lot repaved/surfaced.

Joe Falzon has owned the dealership since 1988 and has done some renovations, the last being around 19 years ago (which was when Signature Ford of Perry was built), but this is the biggest renovation to date. “Ford has a new look that they are going with and it was time to do some maintenance around this facility. Business is growing and we needed the room,” said Falzon.

Perrin Construction of Durand was the general contractor on the job, and at Falzon’s insistence, used only local subcontractors to complete the work.

According the Falzon, customers are excited about the changes. “They comment on how much larger and brighter it is inside the dealership, the lounge is more comfortable and it seems more open.” The new design features an open concept floor plan, where the new car department flows into the service department.

The new 2017 Lincoln Continental is being released currently, coinciding with the renovation and expansion completion. The Lincoln Continental was discontinued in 2002 but is now being offered again as a large all-wheel-drive luxury car. “The new Lincoln Continental is a whole new level of luxury for Lincoln,” said Falzon.

Signature Ford Lincoln celebrated an Open House Tuesday, Nov. 22 for employees and their families. A week long open house is planned for customers in early December.
