Family, Friends and the Alpena High School Football and Basketball Coaches are offering three $500 scholarships at Laingsburg High School, in memory of BIG A (Jason E. Andersen) a former 1995 graduate. Prior to the passing of Jason, at the young age of 31, Jason coached many students in both football and basketball and counseled at-risk students. His legacy of helping students in need is being continued through the financial assistance via the scholarships at his former alma mater high school.
To qualify, students must be a graduating senior and in good standing. Participation in school based and non-school based activities will be considered in addition to their future study area and goals. Scholarships will be presented at the Laingsburg High School Awards Ceremony in May, 2016.
Applications are available for pick up at the Counselor’s Office at Laingsburg High School. All applications must be received by 4 p.m., Monday, May 2 at the Counselor’s Office at Laingsburg High School or post marked by same date to: BIG A Scholarship, P.O.
