The search is underway for the 2016, 39th Anniversary of the Curwood Festival Grand Marshal. A Grand Marshal is someone who has had a profound impact on those around them and is a resource for the community through their charity, leadership and ability to make the city and community a better place.
Who do you know that has made such a change? Looking back some of the former Grand Marshals have been celebrities, quiet leaders, teachers, and mentors. The Grand Marshal is selected by submitting a written nomination that describes the effects you feel the nominee has made. These nominations are reviewed by a committee of local dignitaries that will select worthy recipients. Please forward your nominations to the Grand Marshal Committee, PO Box 461, Owosso, MI 48867 or emailed to curwoodfestival@michonline.com. Please include the name and contact information of the person making the nomination. Committee members will review all nominations and the announcement of their selection will be made at the Curwood Festival Full Council meeting on April 13. The submission deadline is March 18, 2016.
