Chesaning Union Schools is distributing breakfast and lunch (as of Monday, April 6) to students using the bus delivery system used prior to spring break. Normal pick-up bus routes are being used to distribute food in addition to having school pick-up. The distribution is split into two delivery periods. If a child does not regularly ride a bus and needs meals delivered, please call one of the school buildings to arrange delivery. Families wishing to pick up meals at one of the schools can do so from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Please call upon arrival.

Corunna Public Schools continues to offer free breakfast and lunch to anyone 18 years and younger. Food distribution is on Wednesdays only at the Corunna High School from 10 a.m. until noon, the ZCBJ Hall from 10 to 10:15 a.m., Walnut Acres from 10:30 to 10:45 a.m., Nellie Reed from 11:15 to 11:45 a.m. and Lennon Green Estates at 1400 Overland from noon to 12:15 p.m. and then also Meadow/Valley from 12:15 to 12:30 p.m.

Durand Area Schools is providing lunch for anyone 18 years old and under (weather permitting), Monday through Friday until Friday, June 5. Lunch will not be available Monday, May 5 due to Memorial Day. Sack lunches are available at Lakeview Estates at 8499 E. M-71 from 10:30 to 10:45 a.m., Veterans Memorial Park on the corner of Grand River Road/Prior Road in Bancroft from 11 to 11:30 a.m., Optimist Park at 102 E. Fauble St. from 11 to 11:30 a.m., behind Trumble Park at 109 E. Monroad Rd. from 11:15 to 11:45 a.m., Swartz Creek Meadows at 4101 S. Sheridan Rd. from noon to 12:15 p.m. and the old Doyle Knight Elementary building at 900 Oak St., Lennon from 12:30 to 1 p.m.

Laingsburg Community Schools is offering a continuation of food services and breakfast and lunch will be available on Tuesdays and Fridays for all children, 18 and younger, free of charge. The meals are available for curbside pickup at the Early Childhood Education Center (ECED) at 320 Grand River Rd., between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The Laingsburg Area Food Bank is another suggested resource.

Morrice Area Schools is providing packaged meals for anyone 18 and younger while schools are closed on Monday and Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Meals are available for pick-up at the elementary school foyer. Children do not need to be present.

New Lothrop Area Public Schools is providing meals for anyone 18 years old and younger through Thursday, April 30. Breakfast and lunch are available from 10:45 to 11:15 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the bus parking lot (between the elementary and high school buildings). This is curbside pickup.

Perry Public Schools is offering means to any child under 18 years old (or 26 and under for differently abled persons). Sack breakfasts and lunches will be available every Monday and Thursday from noon until 1 p.m. at the Perry High School main entrance, Moon Lake & Quiet Cove (a bus will be parked on Mary Road) and Countryside Village (a bus will be at the office).

Ovid-Elsie Area Schools is serving lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday at EE Knight and Leonard Elementary buildings.

Owosso Public Schools is offering food distribution at the Owosso Middle School at 219 N. Water St. on Tuesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. until noon. Food distribution will occur on the sidewalk in front of OMS (weather permitting). If there is inclement weather, cars will need to pull in the south drive where a volunteer will assist you.

    The delivery service will continue. On Tuesdays, three breakfasts and three lunches for each child will be distributed for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. On Fridays, breakfasts and lunches will be distributed for Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Also on Tuesdays, a printed educational packet will be available for students in preschool through 5th-grade who do not have Internet access.

Please note the Greater Lansing Mobile Food Pantry will be open to residents on Saturday, April 25 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Owosso First United Methodist Church at 1500 N. Water St., Owosso. The Greater Lansing Food Bank and First UMC in Owosso are partnering to provide free fresh and nonperishable food items.

Do you want to make monetary donations? It is recommended that monetary donations be made to local food pantries of your choice. Money and gift cards are appreciated during this time due to safety considerations over donations of purchased food items.
