SANTA AND MRS. CLAUS arrived at the Community District Library’s Edna Bentley Memorial Library in Perry, Saturday, Dec. 12, aboard a special float sponsored by Hungry Howie’s of Perry in the annual Hometown Christmas Lights Parade.

Although extremely thick fog blanketed the city during the parade, Santa and all the other parade entries arrived safely and the parade went as scheduled.

Nearly 100 youngsters anxiously waited in line at the library for the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus. Each of the children received a bag of candy as well as their choice of a coloring/activity/reading book, all sponsored by the City of Perry.

Individual photos of the children visiting Santa and Mrs. Claus were available for viewing/printing by Friday, Dec. 18. Simply log on to the city’s website, www.perry.mi.us, and follow the link to Event Photos. (Courtesy Photo)
