Right To Life of Shiawassee County will sponsor a local March For Life for those who cannot travel to Washington, D.C.

The March For Life on Sunday, Jan. 24 is to remember the 1973 Supreme Court decision, which gave our nation abortion, on demand, throughout all nine months of pregnancy. “We march to remember the babies killed and the women and men who were injured by this decision,” said organizers.

Marchers will gather at 2 p.m. at the Owosso Town Square (Main and Washington Streets) for a short prayer, then travel East to Dewey Street, then North to Abba’s House, 521 E. Williams Street. There will be some signs to carry or bring your own.

Refreshments will follow this approximate 20 minute walk to warm up the walkers. Then there will be a presentation by Michigan Right to Life legislative assistant and spokesperson, Genevieve Marnon.

“If you cannot do the walking, meet us at Abba’s House around 2:15 p.m. There will be a shuttle back to your cars on Main Street. So ask a friend to join you, dress warmly and come,” said organizers.

Right To Life meets every second Monday evening at 7 p.m. at 521 E. Williams Street, Owosso. For further information contact Dennis Hrcka at (989) 725-8037 or e-mail rtlofshia@gmail.com.
