RAY REYNOLDS, of Perry, was honored during a well-attended birthday party on Saturday, Dec. 23 at the Perry Township hall. Reynolds, who celebrated his 100th birthday on Thursday, Dec. 21, was excited and enthusiastic as he held his arms high and directed the crowd in a round of “Happy Birthday.” His humor and zest for life were evident throughout the day as he greeted the numerous people who stood in a long reception line to wish Reynolds a very happy birthday.

Among the numerous accolades he received during the celebration was a proclamation from Perry Township Supervisor Mark Fulks on behalf of Perry Township; a framed photo of earlier days presented by former District 7 Commissioner John Plowman; and the Key to the City, presented by Mayor James Huguelet (right) on behalf of the city of Perry.

The key was mounted on an engraved plaque that read, “In honor of Ray Reynolds on his 100th Birthday. A fine gentleman dedicated to his community and the welfare of others.”
