THE SPRING PURSE BINGO event, sponsored by Respite Volunteers of Shiawassee, was held on Thursday, April 28 at GiGi’s Banquet and Catering. Over 200 women gathered to play Bingo to win a stylish purse as well as enjoy snacks. The event is held every year in support of Respite, a non-profit Faith-in-Action organization.
One purse winner was Gloria Naramor, (seated) of Holt. She is shown here with organizer Ruth Nick, (at right) winning her purse at the evening’s event. Twenty games were played to win twenty purses, including many name brand, spring colored beauties. The first player to call Bingo had to have their game card verified or if a tie ensued, the caller would continue to call numbers until the next person heard a winning number to win a purse. Guests were encouraged to save-the-date for the Fall Purse Party Bingo on Thursday, Oct. 27 at the Knights of Columbus, M-21, in Owosso.
