Care N Assist is the first time ever Event Sponsor for the Respite Volunteers of Shiawassee St. Patrick’s Party. The event is Friday, March 11 in the Ballroom at Baker College Welcome Center. Additional Pot of Gold, Rainbow, Shamrock, Entertainment, and Program Sponsorships are still available.
Music for gathering time will be provided by Richard Lahmann and music during the dinner will be provided by Ryan DeHues and the Jeff Kressler Trio. Ryan DeHues brings to life the great songs made popular by Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Jack Jones, Mel Torme. Ryan has performed coast to coast and recently appeared around the world. The evening will also include a canned raffle and live auction.
The doors open at 5 p.m. for the raffle and gathering time, with dinner served at 6:15 p.m.

Respite Volunteers of Shiawassee is a Faith in Action non-profit that serves Shiawassee County. Volunteers primarily provide friendly visiting with the patient and the person’s family caregivers. Patient and caregiver education is also provided. Volunteers are matched with a person in their own community, and usually provide 1.5 to 4 hours of help weekly. Volunteer opportunities also include; helping in the office, helping with events, helping with fundraisers, special projects for the persons and caregiving families served, and helping maintain the office, building and grounds.
