The wall, flags, pavers and headstones have been in place for months, but the “Fallen Soldier” sculpture was added permanently on Friday, Sept. 4 atop of a large piece of granite that was procured from Marsh Monuments and inscribed with the phrase, “All Gave Some, Some Gave All.”
Phase 2 will begin shortly and hopefully be completed during this construction season. Plans include a perimeter fence and a walkway that will lead people from the Saginaw Street entrance, around a large oblique, and to the memorial wall that sits near the rear of the park.
