THE 2019 PERRYFEST SENIOR Citizen Queen, Carol Nama, has lived in the Perry-area her entire life. She is a very familiar face, with good memories to many, many children and adults.

Nama graduated from Perry High School and retired from Perry Public Schools with 30 years of service. During her tenure she served as a teacher of physical education, athletic director, substitute principal and coach. She also has a 20-year history with respite and hospice.

Nama is a lifetime member and active member of the Perry Methodist Church and serves as a lay-speaker. She is also a member of the Shiawassee Family YMCA. She is always there to help anyone in need. She has two children and four grandsons.

Queen Nama is a “Perry Woman” and says she always wants to be known as Carol Nama from Perry, regardless of what her address may be.

Nama was accompanied in the 2019 PerryFest Parade by Senior Citizen King Jim Shaw and chauffeured in a vehicle provided by Signature Ford of Perry.
