Testing of emergency sirens will be at noon Saturday, July 4, in Perry and is normally done the first Saturday of each month. The emergency siren is sounded when threatening weather approaches the area as well as other emergency situations. “Be sure your neighbors and friends know what the siren sounds indicate,” said Dori Boertman of the city staff. “A series of high/low tones is the warning to take cover! A long solid siren is the all clear!”
