PERRY HIGH SCHOOL MARCHING BAND received straight 1st-division ratings at the MSBOA District V Marching Festival on Monday, Oct. 2. This marks the 20th consecutive year the band, under the direction of Mr. Garret Ernst, has achieved an overall 1st-division rating. The 111-member band performed a selection of songs by The Beatles before three adjudicators and an enthusiastic crowd at Owosso’s Willman Field. This year’s Marching Ramblers are under the field direction of senior drum major, Trent Ivey and junior drum major, Grace Knickerbocker.

The band will bring the music indoors at the fan favorite Pops Concert. The concert, which also features the 7th and 8th-grade bands, will take place in the high school auditorium on Tuesday, Oct. 24 at 7:30 p.m. Watch for the marching band to also appear in the annual Shiawassee County Veterans Day Parade in Corunna in November.
